Samburu, Shaba and Buffalo Springs Nat Reserves

The Northern Tourist Circuit can be considered as the scrub desert starting from the northern footlinks of Mt. Kenya going northwards. One of the destination in this region is the area covered by Samburu, Buffalo Springs and Shaba National Reserves.

Samburu has landscape that includes the reiverline forests with acacia trees and down palms. The reserve also has peaks, plains, shrub deserts, and savanna.

Shaba is quite hilly with springs and rocky isolared hills, while Buffalo Springs has grassy lowland plains.

The main attractions are gerenuks, leopards, crocodile, ostrich, giraffes, zebras, buffalos, and numerous birds.
